While I
strolled through Prague I came across this building and got interested in it.
Nearby were three Ladies, one of them seemed like a tourist guide, she spoke
extensively about the property. The street was quiet; there were no other
pedestrians around at all. While
I took a few pictures one of the ladies came over to me and asked whether I
would be so kind to take a picture of her, in front of the house. I asked her what the story behind the building is. She answered that she does not know. I asked her why she then would like to have her pic taken in front of it and whether she really did not understand a single word of what the other lady told her about it. She said: I don't know.
The Lady became anxious. She made me feel like I was about to mug her
or steal her iPhone or something just as bizarre. I instinctively said I am no danger to her and like her, just a tourist myself. She simply snapped her iPhone from me, shouted she has to go, since she can’t ring the others and ran off following the other two who had disappeared moments ago. I was left behind … feeling a bit like a crime suspect.
I googled
it and found out that the whole property is to be turned into apartments soon.
But still, I would love to know what the story behind it is.
